From a booking
to a passport.
Eleven steps, in order, from the moment you book a lesson to a verified record you can show anywhere. Most of them happen without you doing anything. The three that need you are a checkbox, a signature and an email.

You book a lesson, like always
On the school’s website, by message or at the desk. Nothing changes here and nothing about Sesh ID is asked yet.
You see: the school’s normal booking and confirmation.

Your personal claim link travels with the confirmation
Schools running SeshDash add one line to the booking email with a link that already knows your email. Other schools hand you the same link at the desk or in the lesson email.
What moves: A link, nothing else. No account is created until you use it.

Open it early, or after the lesson
Type the email you gave the school and a sign-in link comes back. Most riders wait until the first lesson is signed. Either order works: lessons wait for the passport.

One extra box under the waiver
When you register, the school asks separately: “Create my free Sesh ID”. It is off by default and never required. The text says exactly what will be sent: date, level reached, conditions, instructor and any note to you. Photos stay out unless you turn them on later.
What moves: Stored at the school: your yes, the date and the version of the text you agreed to. You can switch it off there at any time.

The lesson is logged
Your instructor records the session in the school’s own system: the level you reached on the school’s ladder, wind, water, gear and a note to you.

You sign it on the spot
At the end of the lesson you sign on the instructor’s tablet, or scan the school’s code and sign on your own phone. That signature is the trigger. A lesson nobody signed never leaves the school. A school can also confirm a lesson by hand later; your passport then shows it as “confirmed by hand” instead of “signed on the spot”.
What moves: Only the fact that you signed travels. The signature image, the waiver and any health details never do.

The signed record is delivered
If the school has Sesh ID on, you said yes, and you signed, the record goes into a queue and is delivered to Sesh ID within a minute, signed by the school’s key. If the school deletes the session or removes the signature, the lesson is withdrawn from your passport the same way.
What moves: Date, start, duration, sport, level, conditions, gear, the note, the instructor, and your email as a one-way hash.

Sesh ID stores it as verified
The lesson is filed under the hash of your email and marked verified: “signed on the spot” or “confirmed by hand”. If your instructor opted in to Sesh ID, the lesson links to their profile. If you have not claimed yet, it simply waits.

You claim the passport
Email in, sign-in link back, passport open. Every lesson signed for that email is already there, and a check code is created for you. Under 16, a parent or guardian confirms by email first and the passport stays private until then.

You use it
Your level per sport on one ladder, verified hours, every lesson with the instructor’s note. Share a lesson as a card. Review the instructor, the school and the spot. Hand your check code to any other school. Publish a profile if you want one. Log your own sessions, import a track, and ask a school to validate them.

What flows back to the school
Your review arrives at the school the moment you save it. Validation requests land in the school’s dashboard. And the school’s public page fills itself from signed lessons: badge, levels taught, best months, hours to waterstart, and the labels riders filter on. Nothing on that page is typed in by the school.
- Sesh ID is off at the school. Nothing is sent, sessions are saved as normal.
- You never ticked the box. The school keeps its own record. Your passport stays empty.
- Nobody signed the lesson. It stays at the school until it is signed or confirmed.
- You withdraw at the school. That school’s lessons are withdrawn from your passport and reviews tied to them are removed.
- You delete your passport. Everything is erased and the school is told to forget the link.
Never sent to Sesh ID: waiver text, signature image, health or medical fields, phone number, address, payments, photos unless you enable them. Privacy.
