Plan your sesh · for riders who already ride

Your spot. Your rules. Know when it's on.

Six weather models, the tide and your own quiver, scored per hour for you, seven days ahead. You write the rule for your spot once. It tells you when things line up.

Three things a forecast site will not do for you

Your spot has rules. Now the forecast knows them.

  • Some spots only work on the ebb.

Write the rule once, in plain words. The plan checks it every hour of every day and lights up when it fires.

Rule · Ebb against the wind
    • Tide is falling
    • Wind at least 15 kn
    • from SW to NW
    • Alert me

Example line for Thursday 8 Oct. The rule format is real; the wind in this card is not.

  • Paje: flat lagoon, two hours either side.

The lagoon is flat between 110 and 185 cm. Lower, only the second lagoon has water. Higher, the reef is on and it chops up. The window moves every day, so the plan draws it for you.

Real tide model, Tuesday 6 Oct. Calibrated on beach observations.

  • The 5 or the 3.5?

Your weight, your gear, your taste. If you always end up a size bigger than the chart says, tell it once and every pick follows.

Computed by the same size model the plan uses. Kites work the same way.

Windguru shows the wind.

So does Windy, and both do it well. This tells you when your spot is on, for you.

The small print, up front

A forecast, not a promise.

  • Wind comes from free, open data. Six models through Open-Meteo (CC BY 4.0). When they disagree, we say so instead of averaging it away.
  • Dutch tides come from Rijkswaterstaat (CC0). Our high and low water times land within about 10 minutes of their tide tables on average, and within 20 minutes in 95% of cases.
  • The Paje lagoon is calibrated on beach observations, timed on the sand, not read off a chart.
  • Everywhere else starts rough. Wind is as good as the models; the tide is a sea-level curve until you add your own window. Look at the water before you rig.

Stop checking. Start rigging.

Free. Your spot, your rules, your quiver, one plan.
