- What does it cost?
- Nothing, ever. Riders never pay for Sesh ID: not for a level, a certificate, a card, a check or a renewal. Schools never pay to verify a rider either. See seshid.com/promise.
- Is this an IKO or VDWS card?
- No. Sesh ID is independent of every federation, brand and booking system. Its ladders list federation steps as equivalents for reference, but no federation card is needed and none is sold.
- Can someone buy a higher level?
- No. A level comes only from the school that taught the lesson, signed in its system or confirmed by hand. No payment, listing or partnership changes a level, a rating or a count.
- How do I get a passport?
- Take a lesson at a connected school and tick the Sesh ID box when you register there. Then open seshid.com/claim, enter the same email and follow the sign-in link. Your signed lessons are already waiting.
- My school is not on Sesh ID. Can I still use it?
- Yes. Log the session yourself; it shows as unverified, and any school can confirm it: a school joins free in a minute at seshid.com/join-school and verifies riders by hand, no booking system needed. Or ask a connected school to validate it, or ask your school to connect through SeshDash.
- What is the level ladder?
- Twelve levels per sport, defined once by Sesh ID so a level means the same at every school. Schools keep their own step names, but each step is bound to one level. See seshid.com/levels.
- Who can see my passport?
- Only you, until you change that. A check code you show reveals first name, level, hours and issuing schools, nothing else. Under-16 passports stay private and need a parent’s confirmation.
- How do I delete everything?
- On your passport page: “Withdraw consent and delete my passport”. Your lessons, reviews, check code and login are removed immediately, and your school is told to stop sending.
- How do I get a CV?
- Switch on Sesh ID in your own profile inside your school’s SeshDash. Your school cannot do this for you. Then sign in on seshid.com with the same email.
- What is on it?
- Verified hours, lessons and students per school, active period, certifications and languages from your school system, and student ratings on communication, knowledge, attitude and safety.
- Can I keep it private?
- Yes. It is private until you pick a handle and publish it. Switching Sesh ID off in your school system takes it offline again.
- What does it cost us?
- Verifying riders is free on every tier, always. Bronze (join at seshid.com/join-school) and gold (a live signed feed from your booking system) are free; silver, a public page with reviews and a map pin without a feed, is 39 € a month or 349 € a year.
- How do we get gold?
- Run your school on SeshDash. Book a demo on the SeshDash site and your school is set up with a fourteen-day free trial, no card. Then open Settings → Sesh ID, tick the sports you offer, map your steps and switch it on. From the first signed session your page shows the gold badge, at no cost. Gold cannot be applied for or bought otherwise: it is the badge of a live signed feed. Another booking system can send the same feed through the open connector, also free; ask us at hello@seshid.com. Without any system, join free and confirm lessons by hand.
- What do riders see about us?
- Name, logo, spot, season, sports, styles, affiliation, verified lesson and rider counts, instructors who opted in, and reviews once you make them public. Reviews stay private to you by default.
- Can a rider review us without a lesson?
- No. A review exists only for a verified, signed lesson and always shows the lesson date.
- What is the Gold badge?
- Gold means a live signed feed: every lesson was signed by rider and instructor in the school’s own system and arrived in the passport by itself. SeshDash sends that feed out of the box, so gold comes free with SeshDash. Silver is a paid public page for schools that confirm lessons by hand. Bronze is listed by name and can verify riders, with no public page. Verification works the same on all three.
- What about riders who log sessions themselves?
- They can ask you to validate. You see the request in your Sesh ID dashboard, or in SeshDash under Settings → Sesh ID, with the rider’s details and decide from your own records. A validated session counts as signed by you.
- Where is my data?
- In the European Union (Frankfurt), served by Netlify. Your school keeps its own records under its own notice.
- What never leaves the school?
- Your waiver, health details, payments and signature image. Sesh ID only receives that a lesson was signed.
- Who is the controller?
- Sesh ID is an independent controller for passports; each school is the controller of its client data. Contact privacy@seshid.com.
